I absolutely love this brand! one of my best friend's Saskia introduced me to this brand about a year ago, and to be honest I don't know why I haven't posted about them yet! So anyway, It's not me it's you was started in late 2012 by 3 friends Billi, Jems & Kitty, in Hackney.
I read on their blog that they started the brand because "Billi needed a new purse for a night out and Kitty speaks only in slogans" which I find hilarious & sounds like an idea me and my friend's would come up with! They decided to make quality leather pouches with foil embossed slogans. I love how they have 'Made in Hackney', and I think that and along with the hilarious, relatable and random quotes is what makes this brand unique & different from others. The style of the pouch reminds me of American Apparel, simple design and good quality.
The pouch pictured above I bought last year from Topshop, Oxford Street (they have a concession in there) I couldn't resist it as the slogan was and I'm sure you'll agree, so relatable!! each accessory comes with a leather tag embossed with 'it's not me it's you'.
I've picked out a few of my favourite items from them below, have a browse! I love how they're all surprisingly useful, I use mine now for make up essentials however I'm going to upgrade to the large size and fit all my make up in there! you could also use it for loose change which its actually meant for (coin purse) however I prefer it for my daily essentials! The pastel and snakeskin combo is gorgeous, and also the red and yellow version of the crossbody purse, it reminds me of Moschino's take on Mcdonald's. I am also loving the copper version of my 'Stressed. depressed...' pouch. All items below are linked, so happy shopping!
