Heyyy! I'm sorry guys I haven't posted in a while but I've been so busy! Christmas rushing around to see all the family, working the boxing day sale at 6am (gross) and my poor car has come to the end of it's life so I've been stressfully hunting for a new car! Anyway I
thought I'd share with you this collection that I've been lusting over for the past few days, Chanel Pre Autumn/Winter 16/17 collection.
This is definitely an edgier look for Chanel, but I love it. Grungy vibes are shown throughout Karl's collection, I love the leather jackets and skirts matched with patterned lace tights, quite daring but it works well.
The collection gives it a 60s vibe as well with the mini dresses, skirts and pea coats also the menswear incorporates some 60s styling with the White roll necks and blouse style tops and heavy beading.
The make up & hair is heavily 60s style with beehives and eyeliner flicks, peroxide hair, and eyes a painted with black kohl. There a couple of looks which really remind me of Vivienne (Julia Roberts) from Pretty woman!
I love this collection mainly because it's so different for Chanel, its a lot darker than their usual fresh and pretty collections, but I love it, it's quite Gothic romance, similar to Miu Miu's collection, see post on Miu Miu here. The collection as a whole is still Sophisticated despite the grungy and pretty woman theme, contrasting were some pink embellished looks and pretty 3d flowers on dresses. I can't wait to see it in person!
