LOUIS VUITTON SERIES 3 EXHIBITION // POP MAGAZINE PARTY

Louis Vuitton unveiled its Series 3 exhibition on 21st September as part of London Fashion Week, I was lucky enough to attend a party held by pop magazine the very night it opened to celebrate this exciting exhibition that's come to London. It was a great night I met loads of lovely people there and there were some amazing dj's and live bands, and free alcohol everyone likes free alcohol.

The previous series 1 and 2 exhibitions have been
held in city's like Beijing, Los Angeles, Rome and Tokyo and I was hoping one would be coming to London! Shown throughout 13 rooms this exhibition, is designed to take visitors on a journey, step by step of what exactly went into designing this seasons collection.
"In this digital era, fashion shows are diffused online and immediately accessible for the public, but it takes more than that to feel the ambience and share the intense creativity, energy and emotion surrounding one show. This is what I would like to share with a large public worldwide. The exhibition is conceived as a total, physical and interactive immersion inside Louis Vuitton's Autumn/Winter 2015 fashion show. "     Nicolas Ghesquiére

One of the first things you see is a huge geodesic dome which references the stage built for the Foundation Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris earlier this year. After that you go through a tunnel (also similar to the Foundation Louis Vuitton Show) into a room surrounded by images projected on the screens, constantly changing from scrapbook images of iconic/key pieces, to models walking around the room on screen so fast we thought the room was spinning, or the floor? either way don't go there if you feel a bit queasy. In the next room you can relive the catwalk shows via life size videos of the models of the show, showcasing the AW15 collection, we stayed for ages watching it as if we were there!

There are also opportunities to discover  how the Louis Vuitton La Petite Malle and Dora bag designs are made by watching artisans demonstrate, and also learn how Louis Vuitton use laser pattern cutting to minimise wasted leather and get perfect precision. The next room was probably my favourite... and yes there are a lot of rooms you can get lost in the place (and I did) partly because of the really dim and trippy lighting, though. As you walk in everything is bright white, with mannequins emerging out of which seems from nowhere but you notice them from the Louis Vuitton products jumping out at you.

You can also visit a walk in wardrobe displaying amazing pieces from the collection, see up close the intricate detail to design and the accompanying accessories range. there is also a 'sticker room' with 12 of the key pieces from the collection in sticker form across the whole of the wall, everyone can choose from 2 per person and also get your initials in LV stickers!
View campaign imagery shot by Juergen Teller and Bruce Weber for the series 3 campaign, and get yourself a poster in scrapbook form of the campaign imagery too!

I would definitely recommend going if your a lover of fashion, its inspiring and I wish more brands would do exhibitions like this, you really get to know what has inspired the designer for the collection and  I love that. I attended this event with one of my amazing friends, Saskia Cole who has vlogged about the event and her adventures at London fashion week this year, I'll put a link to that at the end of the photos definitely recommend you guys to follow her channel!

This exhibition is on until October 18th and is open 10am-8pm, located at 180 Strand adjacent to Somerset House.  Admission is free, yep free! And you can also have a guided tour around the exhibition if you wish. You can book your visit here
